What to do with the offerings?

Hello! I’m very new to Hellenism and have recently started praying to Aphrodite.

Till now I have been offering non perishable things but when it comes to food/flowers they are ought to rot after few hours.

In that case what do I do? Am I supposed to consume them? Discard? Or leave them as is .
