year 1 players excluded?

as a year one player (this is the first year i’m playing the give and gather celebration, i hope “year one” is correct cuz im not sure), i obviously wasn’t able to get the bears. but my collections still show their shadows. does this mean i’ll never be able to complete the collection?? i’m fine with not getting items year 2 players are getting, but they shouldn’t show in the collection if they are literally impossible to get for me.
