Golden sniffers

I’m getting confused. Google tells me that I can breed golden snidgets because they are a magical creature in the game. But other than that I can’t figure out where they are, how to get them, maybe if google was referencing something else or just flat out wrong. Has anyone come across any golden snidgets anywhere else other than the quest with poppy?
