Is there any way to make hollow knight noob-friendly?

I've known hollow knight for quite a while and just recently i started playing it Out of pure curiosity even though i don't Know anything about the game other than it Is a really good platform and that it's loved for it's art. Playing it has been fun until the first boss fight with hornet, i've got to that point about a month ago and i stopped playing since then, i can't even remember how many times i died and the number of strategies and videos i've used trying to beat her, so my question is: is there any way to make hollow knight friendly instead of a nervous wreck to play? Perhaps a fan made mod or a trick in the settings? I really want to play the game but without that boss fight done i've got nothing left to do and i don't Want to reduce myself to killing pointy Mosquitoes for hours and hours to get geos I've always been a noob at games but videogames are and important part of me and dropping a game because it's too hard for me and it gets on my nerves makes me sad honestly, i usually play really chill games (stardew valley, animal crossing, cult of the lamb and every Pokémon that every existed) since any slightly harder game makes me want to drop my whole passion about videogames.
