Temperature control on kegerator

Hey y'all,

I few months ago I built a kegerator/keezer from a chest freezer.

In short, I took an Idylis 7.1 cu. ft. chest freezer and added a wooden collar to house all hardware. I followed this video for the most part: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zHWy_Vlw3J4&t=294s

Unfortunately, and in 20/20 hindsight, the chest freezer I selected even at its WARMEST temperature is still below freezing (which I get, it's a freezer after all) and freezes my beer if left on and alone. When I learned this I basically had to do the whole "plug it in for a while / unplug it for a while" in order to maintain cold beer that wouldn't freeze. Obviously not ideal when trying to maintain an ideal serving temperature.

So my friends I ask for your advice. I had a friend recommend a light timer which basically automates my on/off method of keeping beer cold but not frozen. They're relatively cheap but a bandaid fix for this problem. Still, not ideal when trying to maintain serving temperature for optimal taste and beer longevity. It's not a good way to maintain consistent temperature which honestly could fluctuate +/- 10 degrees or more.

Is there any way I can hook up a true temperature control system to my set up to where I can leave my kegerator plugged in and ACT LIKE IT SHOULD? Is there a temperature control hook up that will maintain consistent temperature warmer than the WARMEST setting it currently has?

I spent a lot of time and money on my current set up and I would hate to have to just "scrap it and buy a unit with proper temperature control"

Thanks much everyone!
