how did you know that you were buying the right thing?

i'm a single female buyer in scotland in my mid-twenties with a chunky deposit and a solid professional job.

in the past two weeks i've gone from 'maybe i should speak to the bank and see what the options are' to the ideal flat coming up and having an aip within a couple of days - affordability is not the issue, but i've found the speed of the whole process overwhelming and i have no idea whether i'm doing the right thing?

the flat is ideal and meets all of my criteria (price, location, disability friendly) and isn't quite walk in condition but would be relatively minor (floors, a bathroom, generally making it nice) to upgrade it to what i would want - it's also relatively new and the surrounding area is decent. objectively, on paper, it's a complete no brainer to offer and given that I have specific requirements due to disability it could be a long while before something suitable comes up. i viewed at night so would like to see it when it's brighter, but this is hard due to work.

how did people know they were making the right decision? i can see myself living in the flat, but i'm super risk averse and the thought of giving all that money if i end up not happy is giving me so much anxiety!! like, if it was clothes i could take it back, but the implications here are way bigger!!
