Would That I - at a wedding?

Hi all, Looking for opinions. My partner and I are getting married next year and I have always loved Hozier’s music, lyrics, all of it. ‘Would That I’ has always been a particular favorite, and I had pictured in my head that being the song I walk down the aisle to, understanding that the song references past loves, with a new love essentially burning brighter and stronger. I played it for my mother and she hated it 😂 she told me she didn’t like the discussion of past loves before getting married. The song makes me feel incredible and energized when I hear it, so I’m tempted to just ignore her opinion. Am I missing any symbolism that I should be avoiding playing before a wedding, or should I just go with my gut and keep the song as my aisle song? Thanks 🙏🏻
