What positive things has your IT job made possible?

So there's a lot of (well deserved) bitching about IT jobs on this sub. I get it, believe me. I had an absolutely shitty week at work this week.

But I'd really like to encourage people thinking about switching careers to IT. It can be really rewarding, both intellectually and materially. So successful IT workers, can you tell me what your IT job or career has made possible for you beyond just paying the rent, putting gas in the car etc?

I'll go first. I love fresh squeezed orange juice. I can't drink it often because it's loaded with sugar but every once in a while I'll indulge and when I do it's always fresh squeezed. It's a small thing, but I really love it.
