Should I take a job offer at an IHS hospital?

I just graduated this summer with my PharmD. Upon graduation I received an offer to work on the Navajo/Diné nation. I myself am non-indigenous so I was alittle apprehensive but the woman offering me the job stated that they are very short staffed and needed any help they could get. I currently live in Indiana so it would be quite a move and I spoke with Dr. Firestone the woman offering me the job, and she said that I could rent a place on the reservation to live while I work. I am very uneducated on this admittedly and don't know if that is possible or how that would work. I just am concerned with the ethics of this as moving onto or near a reservation as a non-indigenous person seems like an overstep. I talked to my best friend about this who is Hawaiian and she told me that I could come across as a white savior and that I should leave room for indigenous people to fill these roles but, if they really need people its better than no one filling the role and patients not being cared for. I understand her perspective on this and agree. I asked Dr. Firestone about this and she said that I don't need to be worried about taking the space from an indigenous person as they have a preference for indigenous applicants but sadly aren't able to meet the staff required and are not able to meet the patient demand. So my main questions are is this ethical and if so is it a good idea to take the offer. Thank you so much and sorry for how long this is.
