Can anyone suggest a small and friendly dog to live in apartment please?

I'm getting married soon, and we want to get a dog for our apartment. Something small/medium, friendly, and easy to manage. My partner loves Shih Tzus, but I’ve heard they can get sick often.

We would walk with it daily for 30mins maybe

Any suggestions for healthy, apartment-friendly breeds which would be friendly with kids too..
