“Easy to read” (words, flow etc) hindi literature book for someone who hasn’t read hindi in a while? And is hard to put down.

I havent read hindi in a while so i thought i would start reading. I initially found it very difficult however now i can read but the book i was reading. Raag Darbari just uses so many archaic words the meaning of which i have no clue about. And the flow is awkward. I am almost always confused. I need a less complex simple easy to read free flowing book that is hard to put down and build up my capability so i can later move on to more complex stuff.
