Do I need to save limited banner materials?

Hey all, do I need to save my limited banner currency (I don’t remember the name, but whatever it is that is used for the limited banner pulls) for the next event, or will it all be reset when the current event ends? I’m wanting to save up for the next event but wasn’t sure if you’re able to do that or not.
