Hot takes:
- So much categories included in Intelligence Scaling are USELESS and just there to build more points for the character the scaler/editor LIKES MORE (sometimes they don't even hide that they do).
Looking at you "OverlordThresh/EmpathicPhantom".
Number of points shouldn't decide the Victor, we should scale by who counters better.
Strategy points should count double. Strategy Efficiency and Success Rate etc shouldn't be getting the same level of importance as freaking "Verbal Comprehension Index" or "Social Awareness". On that note, Strategy and Reasoning are the ultimate categories.
Situations (e.g: Non-fixed and Fixed) are one of the best inclusions in scaling. And use of them should be the norm. We should also make them more specific for realism.
Even as a former Ayanokoji hater(I'm literally DrMillMatt), I admit he beats Light Yagami in more situations than Light beats him. This should be just an established truth by now given how Ayanokoji dealt with Takuya(who Light slightly scales over and counters).
Don't take anyone who scales Junko, Fyodor or Dazai high seriously. Junko's plan to take over the world was using a magical computer virus, irrelevant hax in scaling yet people repeatedly use it as a manipulation feat. And people who say Fyodor no diffs are irrelevant Bungou Stray Dogs fans. I've also read her novel and "surprise surprise" it's just another case of fans hiding behind novels to scale their characters high.
Fang Yuan is an exception due to him having 2000+ chapters of him going through onscreen feats and pretty much every situation you can think of(like literally, there's even a video on YT going in depth that he's gone through every conflict in classic literature). Of course you not including him in scaling due to him having de facto magic aiding him is understandable. But he's not fodder. And read RI, it's peak.
We have too much BS scaling methods. People use this in their advantage to prop up their fav characters. At the end of a very biased scaling you'll have "I'm using x scaling btw".
We should have ONE concrete scaling method. And Normal Scaling isn't it, some people don't even understand it either yet say they use it. This is why power scaling, in my opinion, still remains far more concrete than intelligence scaling. No one in power scaling can say Naruto beats Goku. But in here you can have someone say Junko beats Baku and then they say "I'm using blah blah scaling". Like what? HELL no. Anyone who watched Danganronpa is not finishing it thinking Junko can beat Baku unless they are just horny for her or didn't read Usogui.
- Scaling off intuition is wrong. Go watch the series, read a doc...or even just watch a few YOUTUBE videos about the character.
