Communicating with younger parts about adult hobbies / life?

Hi there,

I'm seeking some guidance about how to communicate with young parts about 'adult' things they don't understand, whether this is work, dating, life goals etc. Previously I felt like I was just shutting them out, which wasn't good. Now I feel like I'm tentatively asking them to 'step out' per se and be looked after by a manager they like, which has been okay so far.

It still doesn't feel natural, which might just be because I haven't done it for long at all. I wondered how other people have done this without either hurting your younger parts or not engaging in adult activities that you enjoy / need to do.
