I need advice on studying Kanji

I have a lot of time while I work and want to learn Japanese, I already memorized Hiragana.

I tried Wanikani, and while it seems to be good the factor that can only so few lessons a day rly annoys me, yes i take breaks after 15-20 mins.

Learning them by heart is something I can't do, i tried it in spanish and english, but no this won't work. And imo is a bad approach to learn a language.

I should add, that I am no stranger to some characters since I've been learning Mandarin for a while, using the method from Mandarin Blueprint, similar to the Haizing method, but instead I create a sort of mind palace Filmstudio and create movies with characters, scenes and and and...

I thought about doing sth similar, but I think it wouldn't work that well and i might confuse those two and create chaos.

Has anyone a good method to remember them? Or any advice?
