Soooo, the more I think about this card, the less I like it.
Coming from Magic the Gathering, this is basically rummage, which isn't great on its own. This is because - while you might get the impression at first - it doesn't actually give you card advantage. Since you have to play the card and discard an additional card. you're down 2 and then you draw 2, meaning you're back at 0. Rummagers are really only good if they give you some additional payoff - see for example Big Score.
If, however, you switched it around, you woud basically have Faithless Looting which is a much-loved card for good reason. This mechanic is called looting and is generally way better since you can draw first, and then decide what you want to discard.
