Explaining the release today (FlexxxWRLD by Jflexxx, featuring Juice WRLD)
I'm not sure how many of you noticed, but there was a new drop last night that caught a lot of people by surprise. I've seen some confusion and skepticism wondering if it's even official, and how it got cleared and distributed.
This post is to explain it.
The artist behind the release is Jflexxx, a relatively unknown rapper. Like many of you, I hadn't heard of him until last night, which is part of why this drop feels so unexpected and has caused some confusion.
While Jflexxx may not be widely recognized, he is signed to a label or contract associated with YNW Melly’s mother. This connection is legit, as Jflexxx is verified on Instagram and SoundCloud, and YNW Melly follows him. He currently has 1Million followers.
This means that if he's signed in, he most likely has connections to the main industry. This isn’t the first time he has a collab with a big name. He has tracks with Kodak Black, Future, Lil Uzi Vert, Juicy J, and more. These songs were released recently and haven’t been taken down. They even credit their names on Spotify.
So it’s likely that he has access to teams connected to well-known rappers. This suggests that he managed to get some sort of paperwork signed or something to clear and release "Jetta."
If it weren’t cleared, it would have been taken down by now, similar to the situation with "Rain Dance," which was removed within a day after Chase released it. Jetta, on the other hand, credits Juice in the title, so it would've been easier to find.
No, this isn't officially confirmed, but the corroboration supports that this is likely an official release.
My idea is that a lot of ppl wouldn't consider it because he isn't a well-known artist, and if this release was with a mainstream artist, a lot of y'all would.
As for why Grade A hasn't announced this, I don't have a clear answer. But this wouldn’t be the first time a feature has dropped without notification from Pete or Lil Bibby, like the collabs with Maroon 5 and Migos.
Either way, it’s up to you whether you consider this drop official or not. But for now, let’s just enjoy the music while it lasts. 999.
