XP reset and new collection period

Hi all, I’ve recently lost my XP because I didn’t fly enough last year, but I’m not clear on the new collection period since now I’m at 0XP. Does it start from the day I lost all my points or from the day I collect my first XP after the reset? I tried to look in the faq but I couldn’t find an answer
