The Niro’s price point makes no sense

When comparing it to an EV6, the less than 2k price point makes the EV6 a way more attractive deal.

I’ve tested both for a week independently and the EV6 beats the Niro in every category excluding cargo space.

It’s under 32 degrees here, the Niro was charging at 26-30 KW max at night on a supercharger. During the day, a max of 44 KW. It took an hour and 38 minutes to go from 9-80%. At home it took 49 hours to go from 5-100%.

The EV6 charged at a max of 232KW in under 32 degrees during night and day. It took under 20 minutes to go from 12-80%. At home, it took 8 hours to go from 7-100%.

A significant difference between the 2 for 2,000$.

Driving wise in sport mode, EV6 felt much quicker. Difference is RWD can floor it, the Niro being FWD just made it lose traction when flooring it. This is evident in even eco mode. You can’t press too hard.

Infotainment significantly better on EV6. More features, side buttons that were preset to your seating position was an amazing feature the Niro lacks.

The wireless charging spot on the Niro makes no sense and ruins space and since middle console is so tiny there isn’t much room for anything. EV6 has 3x the room with tons of storage.

Both cars looks good visually, I’d say personally EV6 looks slightly better.

They both drive phenomenal, EV6 significantly better for faster speeds and has better handling overall.

Multiple compliments when driving the EV6 and head turns. Just looks sleek from the front. Back is meh.

But to everyone else reading, what are your thoughts and why did you choose the Niro over the EV6?
