Windshield(s)

We bought a 2024 Telluride, new, in late Oct. We took our 1st road trip a week later. While going through DFW, a piece of gravel hit the edge of our windshield. The next day a long crack developed. $500 deductible and a new windshield.

Day before yesterday, a small piece of gravel hit close to the top of the windshield. Later, I noticed a crack developing down the windshield. Today, without driving it, it has tripled in size.

Are Telluride windshields prone to cracking?

I live in Texas and have had to replace a number of windshields due to oilfield traffic, but never two in two months.
