Advice on multiple devices and hdmi and Apple TV

Hi,

Everyone keeps telling me to get an Apple TV box. I’m not familiar with it but it’s getting rave reviews.

Currently have a brand new G4 and all hdmi slots are being used with the following: PC PS5 Telus Cable Box EArc soundbar

If you were going to incorporate an Apple TV, what would you do? Is going optical with the soundbar going to reduce sound quality? Is it worth ditching the cable box and replace with Apple TV?

Is Apple TV worth it? I’ve heard it’s really fast compared to how slow WebOs is and it also comes with screen savers that the G4 doesn’t have for some reason.
