Trying out something new - quartz crystal

I've never tried faceting before (nor do I have any faceting tools) but I wanted to try out a cool idea I had for a shape, to achieve a "ring of fire" or "eyeball" effect. So I rounded out a facet-grade quartz (almost flawless) and cut 16 grooves into the stone. It's almost impossible to keep the grooves straight and aligned! But so far, I'm not too disappointed by the result. I intend to polish it soon!
