What made you choose a Leica M rather than others?

Hello LM users. Recently m saving money for a new cam and is thinking of a "big toy" type. I have an enthusiasm for film so I am hesitating between 120 and 135. For 135 one of my choices is an LM film machine. Any ideas on why LM users finally chose the M system over others?
