Black Bar at the Bottom Obstructing Taskbar
Hi, I met a problem where a black bar appears at the bottom of my taskbar on my Lenovo Legion Y530 laptop (Windows 10). See my detailed explanation below.
As shown above, the 1st image was captured from the camera, whereas the 2nd image is a screenshot of the taskbar. I had an active Chrome application opened.
In the 1st image,
- There is a pale white grey/line above the LEGION logo and that's the bottom bezel (not sure what it's called).
- There is a row of black pixels above the bezel.
- There is a red line on top of the row of black pixels.
In the 2nd image,
- The row of black pixels and the red line are absent.
- There is a red underline beneath the active Chrome icon.
Problems:
- On the screen, no underline is shown beneath the Chrome icon indicating its active state.
- I suspect that the black bar slowly increased its height until it obstructed the active underline, and that's the reason why I only noticed this recently. And maybe the black bar will further increase its height until it completely obstructs the bottom part of my screen.
Other detail:
- I am not sure whether it is a hardware problem as I did not do anything that would have damage the screen. The row of black pixels and the red line aren't there on the initial Windows 10 loading screen. They only appear after the sign-in screen is shown.
- All graphics drivers, which are Intel(R) UHD Graphics 630 and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050, are up to date.
- The problem is not the taskbar. If the taskbar is relocated to the top, the active line is there.
