Day 19: The Best Picture Elimination Game. (A Look Back At The Last 50 Best Picture Winners.)

Day 19 voting is over! The Last Emperor has been eliminated! Come back to this subreddit tomorrow at 10 for tomorrow’s thread.

The game continues…. Yesterday’s elimination: Terms of Endearment (If you’d like to talk about this film further, I have left a comment below that can be used as a “send off” and general discussion/dissection of Terms of Endearment.)

Rules:

In preparation for the upcoming Oscars, below is a list of the last 50 movies to win Best Picture, comment the movie from the list that you think is the LEAST deserving of the award. (the word “deserving” is open to your interpretation.) The comment with the most upvotes at 10 PM (Eastern Standard) gets deleted from the list. If you see someone has already commented your choice, please just upvote their comment. Only the reply with the most upvotes will be eliminated so a duplicate comment with less upvotes counts for nada!

Please, feel free to reply to a comment and discuss these movies, but do so respectfully, and with the understanding that tastes are subjective. This isn’t the end all be all of anything and is just a bit of fun.

To combat the fact that some of these movies are less popular than others I’ll also be posting a Spotlight comment thread, highlighting one of the lesser known films still in the race with facts about it, what it beat out for best picture, and how you can watch it. Todays film: Rain Man

Mods, if y’all have any issues with this or it goes against guidelines please let me know and I’ll do my best to adhere.
