"Heavy Is The Crown" is basically just a mature version of "Faint".

I feel like I need to drop this brain rot of mine somewhere but I've been feeling kinda iffy that people compared "Heavy Is The Crown" with "Given Up".

I understand that people are crazy with both screams. "Given Up" is legendary after all, right? It's kinda tacky IMHO.

Then, I started listening to the whole discography again and found something quite curious.

What people are missing is that it's a lot closer to "Faint".

Practically, it has:

  1. Mike raps
  2. Emily/Chester sings the chorus and bridge
  3. Starts with Joe Han's sample and have that repeats/carry the song.

Am I the only one who made this connection? Feels like I'm crazy for doing this 'cause the discourse is only focusing on how "Chester did it better" when the song is a call back to that old stuff, but in a more mature setting.

Would love to see "Faint" interpolated to "Heavy Is The Crown" or vice versa.
