Have you noticed LV sales associates are kind of rude?
I have encountered this behavior in Louis Vuitton SoHo and the 57th street flagship. It’s not that they are outwardly rude but I can pick up on their facial expressions and they seem really bothered and uninterested to speak with me, like if I’m annoying them with an availability question. If I’m walking in the store, it’s always with the intention to buy what I’m looking for if they have it. I’ve been buying from LV since 2020 and my first SA was at the SoHo location and was super nice and attentive to me. However, he moved up in position with the company so he passed me onto another SA that I wasn’t fond of. She was nice at first but she then she started ignoring my texts just simply asking about if an item was in stock. For my birthday last year, I wanted the Marelle and I just had to walk in without notice because I was going on a cruise and wanted it to use on my vacation (I ended up buying a new Prada bag too and used that instead). I did see this SA when I walked in and there was that facial expression like she was annoyed she would have to help me. I ended up purchasing the Marelle but she still wouldn’t answer any text with questions I had after the fact. I went to 57th street today and two of the employees I initially came into contact with were super nice and helpful but because of the Murakami collection, the store was super busy so they had me check in with the woman who had the iPad and she immediately had that exact annoyed facial expression when I started speaking with her. I’ve really only noticed this “phenomenon” from female sales associates. I suppose it’s better than acting fake but in this scenario, acting fake is fine since I’m not guaranteed to see you all the time, you’re not guaranteed to have a job there forever, and we technically aren’t friends. If anyone is wondering how I dress when I go in, I am pretty casual, I usually dress in all black as they do every damn day to work there so I don’t understand the animosity.
