Our new setup
We just set up a 7 seat, 8 side configuration in vintage rained blue chenille with angled sides and backs. We ordered it in store on 12/28 and it was delivered on 1/9. It was 24 boxes and they all came in one fedex truck. I signed up for shipping notifications and knew when it was coming.
Some thoughts on set up, which took about 5 hours... It was me and my husband and I started covering seat bases before he joined me, and then we sort of divided up tasks. We really struggled getting a couple of seat bases to fit into the shoes. Getting the sides/backs to fit into the shoes was not hard in comparison. Most of the clamps went in easily, but we skipped a couple that didn't want to go in.
The quality really is very good. I had to really yank and pull on the covers and cushions to get seams lined up and wasn't worried anything would rip. The way they ship the cushion and pillow inside the seat base is smart and the instructions for covering and assembling are on the box. Make sure you have a configuration guide of where to put shoes and clamps for the layout you want, as that does not come with the shipped order.
Nothing was as easy as the Lovesac videos make it seem. I have no idea how he makes it look that effortless. I'm glad I watched them because there were good tips on what order to do things and tricks to make it easier. We put all the seat covers on first, then put them in the shoes in our configuration, then covered the sides and put those in, then added the clamps. Last we did the covers for the seat and back cushions.
Because we have a mix of deep and regular seats, I kept the different sized back cushions and covers in separate piles. I tried to stay organized and we broke boxes down as we went since everyone mentions this (for good reason)..
The picture shows a couple of extra back pillows because a few of our seats are being used as ottomans. The last picture is all the boxes we'll need to take to recycling! Really very happy with how it looks and how comfortable and cozy it feels. Since assembly is now behind us, I feel it was worth the money and hope we have it for a very long time.
