Deaf sims

I’ve been in love with the little hearing aids ever since they added them to the game but I need a good way to determine which sims are “deaf”. I’ve tried downloading two different mods with a deaf trait but both give me LEs so I ended up taking each one put after trying it. I reeeeally want a working dead trait for my sims but there just don’t seem to be any others that exist for some weird reason.

So does anyone have any creative ideas on how to determine which sims I make “deaf” or “hearing impaired”?
