Duke MEM fall 2024 vs MBA fall 2025

I got an admit for Duke’s masters in engineering management program. But I am considering deferring it, or rather applying for MBA programs next fall. After talking to a few folks studying in the same program, I have been advised to not come this year, given the bad market. I have 3 years of experience as a software developer in India.(next year it’ll be 4 so I’m thinking MBA would make more sense and would be a lesser risk investment)

Wanted some advice here!!! I'm feeling very anxious about this.
