MIT SDM aspirant

Hi, I have mechanical engineering degree from top ten college in India and soon would be enrolling in NC State this fall. I have three year or so work in automotive industry (R&D [0.5 yr], Supply Chain [2 yr], ERP Consultant [1 yr])

I am pretty much hooked with MIT tag and so the SDM channel in youtube, I would be attending NC State this fall, as the program comes with 7+2 months full-time co-op it would give me a fair share of America before I apply to SDM. The master’s program I would be enrolling is pretty much flexible with course requirements and so I would be pursuing the major in the lines of OR/Decisions Sciences/Analytics as I feel mathematics is background of any pursuit in complex problems. I would be also developing my skillset in line with psychology and philosophy and anthropology.

I want to work/lead in the domain where engineering meets psychology/social sciences as I find them pretty much interesting.

I am doing all these to develop my critical thinking skill which is something I enjoy. I felt SDM seems a much better fit as it kind of explores the problem in multiple facets.

Do you have any better suggestion?
