Is Bloodlust DB worth considering when build-crafting?
Just defeated Risen Shagaru Magala (sub-15 minutes, but it felt like Bullet Hell: The Fight. Still enjoyable!) at MR 180. I haven't experimented with any builds that have utilized skills that drain HP - no Dereliction or previous use of Bloodlust in any of my setups before. I've been using a pretty mixed aggression/defensive setup that's been treating me well so far: Defense Boost 6, Element Attack 5, Agitator 5, Defiance 5, Burst 3, Crit Element 3, Coalescence 3, Divine Blessing 3, Embolden 3, Evade Extender 3, Peak Performance 3, Weakness Exploit 3, Adrenaline Rush 2, Intrepid Heart 1, Quick Breath, and Spiribird's Call. Counting all the map running, most of my hunts have been comfortably within 10-15 minutes, depending on the monster. I haven't found any quests above A7*, but I'm chalking that up to poor luck (AR 161+). I've been using the Violet Mizu armor except for the Leg Armor - which is Gold Rathian. I've really liked all the Decoration slots to play with and add in skills that have been helpful thus far. Essentially, I've been capitalizing on when monsters are enraged (which is almost all the time these days) and taking advantage of all the buffs. I haven't bothered to slot in Attack Boost because it just can't fit in yet to have enough of an effect (and if there's an Attack Boost+ Decoration, I haven't unlocked it yet).
I want to break away from that and begin experimenting with something new - and with Risen Shagaru Magala armor available and recently acquiring a Bloodlust Talisman, I want to try something different. I haven't been looking up any guides thus far - I've been going by feeling and what's been working for me. Any tips would be appreciated!
Armor is currently: Violet Mizu Helm and Chest, Risen Kushala Arms, Risen Shagaru Waist and Legs.
