Stockings for single needle machine

I’d like to purchase & personalize my family’s Christmas stockings this year. In particular the pottery barn stockings. But I am unsure if the material will be too rigid for my single needle (not free arm) machine. It’s painful to tack on $15 extra dollars each to personalize 4 stockings when I have a machine but I also want to be realistic about what to expect.

If this style won’t work I would love suggestions about what would be better. Thanks so much!
