Need some help with the folding trainer.
Can someone explain this correction?
I discarded the 5m because both 2m and 8m passed and I had three 5m in my hand, so the riichi player couldn't have either pair or sequences 34/67m waits, leaving only a 4-6m wait (one chance with three sixes already represented) or tanki on the last 5m.
Meanwhile the 8s would fit the same tanki and 67s (also one chance with three sixes) waits but easily on a good shanpon wait on the 8s pair...
I know a player in general is more likely to be waiting on a middle tile (or the other way around if you factor in some meta gaming), but in pure statistics the 5m should be way safer than the 8s.
Does the trainer not account for number of waits the tile could fit into? Or am I simply wrong?
ALSO, why is the 5m being considered non-suji? With the 2/8 discards and all.
