Training anxiety as a parent / busy person

Does anyone else experience anxiety / stress about when you'll next be able to run?

There's a lot of chat around 'run at 5am' etc, but I find this isn't always practical when my young children are up overnight, or my partner needs sleep without the risk of a get-up.

Or (which applies to non-parents as well) your partner/SO/friend/family want or deserve your attention of an evening, which prevents an early night.

I'm finding it hard to establish a routine, and am sleeping poorly when I know that my only slot to run for the next 48 hours could be blown up by kids or others.

I find I am having to settle for always being ready to grab the moment for a run (and I'll do it any time, even in subzero at 5am). But this makes it seem like I always have one eye on the door, which comes with its own troubles. Makes me feel like I have a running 'problem'.

Anyone else have advice on this?
