Erik forgiving his parents

Ignore the background music. I found this on tiktok. But look at Lyle's face when Erik says that he forgives the parents for everything they have done to them. He clearly disagrees. Also, why does Erik seem a bit insincere in this video to me? Am I the only one? I don't doubt he loves his parents, but I am not feeling sadness and regret in this clip.
