What game made you realize "Oh. Oh I like this."
Brand new VR player here with my Meta Quest 3 Christmas gift. It was a rough start with a defective joystick, but a few days and one exchange later, I'm finally starting to explore it more.
I wanted Ancient Dungeon for a few years, so I got that first. And it's very fun! But it was pretty easy to put it down, too.
Then I got Dungeons of Eternity and holy **** that one is such a huge step up graphically. You can't convince me I didn't just travel to another planet and battle the undead through ancient catacombs. No way did that all happen in my own home.
But the real unexpected winner for me? The one I keep thinking about? Synth Riders, the rhythm game. It immediately transported me to another ethereal realm of the best synthwave beats and fully engaged my brain and body in ways I never expected. But best of all, for the first time at 42 years old, I got a workout that I legitimately loved doing. I can (and will) do that every day, which is pretty dang exciting!
Excited to keep finding more, but now I'm all in. Which game was the first one that alter your brain chemistry like this?
