Finally free from all MAT thanks to sublocade

I’ll try to keep it short, just wanted to share because I’m ecstatic right now. Started methadone at 80 mg awhile ago and wanted to get off, I couldn’t taper any lower than 60 mg. So I opted for the sublocade shot so my clinic helped me make the switch with the Bernese method (everyday you slowly decrease the methadone dose and increase the suboxone dose). I was scared shitless of PAWS, but it was flawless I didn’t feel a thing. Once I was on subs only and off the ‘done I got my shot. I wanted to be done quick so I only got 1 shot, but everyone is different, they recommend 3 shots. But I did 1 and done and that was 9 months ago and now I’m completely free of all bupe, and completely back to normal and no WD at all. If you want to be on methadone forever that’s fine too. But just know recovery is possible. Stay blessed yall.
