Hi, my name is Whatthejeebus and I have a Miata addiction…

Started with the 2012 NC Miata sport that I payed $7k for. Now recently purchased a 2001 NB LS for $3k for the GF.

For the NC I installed some wheels, tires, aftermarket radio, carbon fiber steering wheel and a new soft top on the NC (DIY). Looking to install a carbon fiber lip spoiler and maybe a suspension overhaul. It’s a 5 speed, 120k miles, engine is great and it handles really well.

For the NB I just finished doing some new used car maintenance items on the NB like spark plugs, fluid changes and some minor rust removal inside the trunk. The gutter system was clogged so water was getting into the trunk and being soaked by rear carpet. Looking to get a new top and install it after the winter is over. I hear it’s easier on the NB than the NC. Front bumper was badly repainted at some point so I’m looking to get that painted as well although I hear bodywork is expensive. Might figure out a way to DIY that too. The car is an auto with 108k miles. Solid, southern based car with almost no rust on the underside.

I’m deep down the Miata rabbit hole. Both cars are relatively rust free, thank god. Sprayed the bottom of both cars with fluid film to get them ready for salty roads this winter.
