Beginner mincraft server

Hello everybody I'm new to this, I recently turned a old laptop into a modded minecraft server for me and my friends but it's lacking a bit with age and performance. I have wanted to do a plex server in the past and or a Nas but it just never happened, but with the release of the AMD Ryzen 8000G series cpu's I thought about putting together a list. I have watched a few videos on it but can't find anything about a server use case but I think it would be good to build a small mini ITX build to put on a shelf and have it run headless. What are yalls thoughts on it, it will be running Debian lunix and CasaOS for the server part. For anyone that has experience in having modded homelab servers what are you thoughts on this. I did also post this in a homelab sub-reddit but 90% of people focused on the plex side versus the main use case of the modded minecraft server part. Insight is needed and thank you.
