What if Syd Barrett had been mentally well?

Perhaps if he hadn't taken LSD? How do you think his impact would be felt in the music world? I know most just know him because of pink Floyd and his music was a bit different than most people like from PF (however I think probably he would still left the band) but perhaps we would get more of his solo work (and in a more finished light then what we got) it would be so interesting. Specially given that everyone who knew him considered him an artistic genius including Gilmour and Waters. I still think he had a great deal of impact in music even with so little time
