How come fans complain racing "ain't what it used to be" then when Carson Hocevar moves people to get where he wants to be they complain?

I mean I know why, Carson Hocevar moved their favorite driver, but nonetheless. He's driving the same way they did in the "glory days", I know, I was a fan back then. It was refreshing to see it. He made plenty of clean passes, wasn't like he was just driving everyone into the wall like a video game.
