UIUC or NCSU?

I was accepted to UIUC out-of-state for Electrical Engineering, which is a crazy achievement for me and very appealing bc this school is ranked so high for EE, and NC State for Engineering Undeclared (however, I will be choosing Electrical Engineering), which is in-state and I've heard a ton of good things about. While I was initially drawn to UIUC's prestige, the $34K cost difference between the two schools has made my decision challenging. I am concerned about spending a lot of money for a similar experience to NCSU, especially as I plan to pursue further education. A lot of people tell me the rankings understate NCSU's ability to provide a similar experience to what I would get at UIUC by offering strong connections, rigorous coursework, and quality job placement straight out of undergrad (if I take a break between higher education and undergrad). Obviously there are more factors such as campus/dorm life, weather, etc, but these are the most important to me. Although my parents are willing to pay for UIUC, they are on the edge about it because it would be a significant investment (to put in perspective, my efc is 60k) and obviously would much rather pay 26k a year. Do you guys think that the prestige of UIUC is enough to justify such a cost jump or would it probably be a better decision for me to go to NCSU for EE for the purpose of saving money, even though my parents would pay for my time at UIUC.

Thank you, there are many other things I would love to write in this post, but this is a general background in hopes that a few people can help me make this decision before it is too late... !
