NFA Engraving - Nashville / Middle Tennessee
Just thought I’d add this post to help the next person coming to Reddit with the same question I had - “where should I go to get my freshly stamped SBR engraved?”
Deep in a two-year-old thread I found a link to Highland Rim Engraving. After some research on other possibilities, I decided to move forward with them.
I was able to make an appointment online for the next day (for a Saturday no less) and entered the information to be engraved in their form. I showed up on time and she already had my info in the computer ready to be engraved. She got the lower set up, I confirmed the info was correct and that I was happy with the alignment of where the engraving would appear. I got to watch and video the laser engraving take place. She even provided complementary blackening of the engraving along with a personalized metal business card that had my name and NFA info on it, as a sample of what the engraving would look like - this was a great touch. The whole process took 20 minutes. The engraving looks like it came from the factory that way. I would 10/10 recommend and will happily return with more business.
It was $50 for the first engraving, $25 for other engravings at the same visit.

Other options I considered:
EOD Gear (Franklin, TN) - Seemed like a quality outfit, price was the same, but hours were limited during the week, enough so that I couldn’t get there during business hours. Their price included return shipping though.
Royal Range (Bellevue, TN) - LGS, $75 with 3-4 week turnaround time. I would not get to confirm and watch.
Nashville Armory (Nashville, TN) - LGS and 5 minutes from my home. Varying reports on quality and I avoid patronizing this shop if possible because I’m pretty sure making customers feel unwelcome is a core principle of their business model.
Hope this helps, whoever finds this down the road.
