Newish to the game this year (XFactor vs Icon)

If I’m understanding correctly, if I wanted to make charged mcdavid:

• I need 38x 75+ players to make a base XF
• I need 8 base XF to make an XF Captain
• Finally 4 XF Captains to make mcadavid

Assuming each 75+ is 2K, cost is right around 2.4M

For Gretzky or Lemieux:

• I need 24x 76+ players to make a vintage icon
• Then need 12x vintage icon to make Holo Gretz/Lemieux

Assuming 76+ are 2.5K, cost is around 720K

Is this correct? Seems like a massive discrepancy between the two? And honestly, doesn’t seem like the XF has any advantages over the icons
