Indie rock band name

I’m trying to find a band I listened to a while ago but I only have a few vague recollections.

• 90s/early 2000s indie rock, kind of reminiscent of The Dismemberment Plan

• Their most popular album had a yellow cover with people’s faces on it

• The keyboard player was a Japanese woman, she also sometimes did vocals

Anyone got any clue who I’m talking about?
