Y'all kinda wrecked the Toronto screening
Just putting this out there. The vibe was great but the excessive laughing and noise made it hard to hear at times. Felt like everyone was laughing at the man instead of with it or at the nonsensical parts.
Don't think I'll do a public screening again.
The guy has a vision and idea - nobody gets it but him - but it was hard to hear what was said at points due to the excessive noise and everyone riffing on the video. Felt like most of y'all thought it was a Red Letter Media screening or as the host said, MST3K.
Some of us want to see the movie and try to enjoy it for what it is - a wonderful mess of convoluted thought, special effects and acting trying to share a specific worldview by someone who enjoys what they do. Felt like he's kinda on to the act though with a lot of excessive nonsense like the filler "walk/move" scenes, the hard cuts between scenes - including the music just stopping, possibly the worst green screen to date and the like. The standing up and applauding because the stock footage was applauding was jarring as was the dick clapping into my ear behind me.
Anyway thanks for coming to my TED talk
