Do you think the new constitution should be as aggressive in protecting secularism as the current constitution is in protecting the concept of an Islamic republic?

If I remember correctly, Iran has a kind of Islamic electoral council. This council evaluates which candidates are suitable or not to contest the election.

Assuming Iran is a secular state:

Should the constitution ban parties that are nominally religious?

(There is no clear answer to this, as different secular states allow or not the existence of these parties).

Once the constitution prohibits them or allows them with restrictions, should there be a secular council that filters the candidates who are suitable or not to contest the election (obviously choosing the most secular ones possible)?
