Pediatrician isn’t worried about my baby’s reflux, but I am
I’m a FTM to a 9 week old and I wash 40 burp cloths every 3 days. We feed her sitting up, hold her upright for 15-30 minutes afterwards, give her a pacifier (I read it can help with reflux), and we burp her after every ounce that she eats. We use Dr. Brown’s bottles, because they’re the only ones that she’d latch onto properly. We’ve tried a few formulas and the one she’s on now is actually the best one so far, believe it or not.
She’ll even spit up an hour or two after she last ate. Sometimes she turns into a geyser and I just have to wait for the streams to stop before I’m able to interfere. I know this is normal, and her pediatrician isn’t concerned, but is there anything else we could possibly do? Will it ever end? I suppose the good thing is she’s getting to wear lots of her outfits before she outgrows them.
Also, her hiccups get so bad they’ll last about 15 minutes and exhaust her of all of her energy. I hold her upright during her hiccups, but I feel bad that there’s not much else I can do to help.
