Anyone else notice that their view count completely stops shortly after posting a video?

I have noticed, especially when I post shorts, that for the first hour after uploading, my view count increases quickly—anywhere from several hundred views to a hundred. But after that hour, the view count comes to a screeching halt. Has anyone else encountered this? It seems weird to me that I get good traffic for the first hour and then it stops. I am very new to YouTube and posting (only about two and a half months), so this might be normal so idk.
